Day 7: HK >> MNL

On our last day we only had breakfast at the hotel and packed more for our trip home. This was also the day I started to feel very sick due to the very dry winter air. I made sure that I enjoyed the cold air for the remainder of the trip since there's none of that here in the Philippines!

The Hong Kong Airport is modern, spacious and clean…then there's NAIA. :(

Popeye's because the last time I ate there was when we last went to HK. My parent's had yummy yummy tonkatsu from Saboten!

It was a fun and smooth trip. One of the smoothest ones we've had, which was surprising considering this trip was only planned a week before due to indecisiveness.

Stay tuned because my next blog would be about my trip to Palawan with my extended family for New Year's!
Happy weekend!

Day 6: Macau >> HK 2013

Day 6 was our last day in Macau so we left that morning for Hong Kong via Turbo Jet.

Here is a little photo of what our hotel room in Macau looked like. Everything's so clean and simple.

There were strong rains while we were on the ferry ride and it was scary and bumpy. Thank God the rain was gone by the time we arrived in Hong Kong.

We had lunch at the ferry terminal then went straight to our hotel to freshen up and leave our things.

Our room was at the Horizon Club floor which had free food (FIST PUMPS) and a lovely view of the harbour.

Free fruits and hot tea. So hospitable <3

After settling down we went straight to the Victoria Peak tram station. Unfortunately, it was super swamped with tourists with an estimated 2hrs waiting time so my dad decided it's best to take a cab since we didn't have enough time and it was close to dusk. We got there just in time for one of the most awesome sunsets I've seen ever. No edits or filters needed.

After sightseeing we went to the Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum located at The Peak itself. Sorry for the cheesy touristy photos but these are all I have. Safe to say these are the least embarrassing photos I have.

We rode the taxi again going down from The Peak since the line was still very long. We sneaked our last dinner at Din Tai Fung again just because the food is too good. Even had an argument with a rude British lady just coz she felt superior. Rest assured I made her realize that she isn't and that she needed an attitude check.

We walked back to the hotel and were greeted with free milk and cookies and just AHH I love free food. The best kinds of food are the ones that are free and yummy.

We were leaving the next day so we had to pack and get ready.
Hope you enjoyed this post! :)

Day 5: Macau 2013

Our 5th day was Christmas day and of course, we had to celebrate. We started our morning by eating large portions of Mcdonald's breakfast take out. It was a very chill morning as we left the hotel early in the afternoon. We went across the street to the Venetian to check out the festivities they had planned out for the day.

There were singers and odd characters just outside the lobby to keep the guests and visitors busy. The singers were amazing. I'm guessing they're also the Gondola singers during non-Christmas season.

After going around Venetian again, we had our early dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe since we booked tickets to watch The House Of Dancing Water at around 8pm. I had a fat yummy yummy burger that rivals Marriott's!

Sadly, I don't have photos from The House of Dancing Water. But I am telling you, it is the most amazing show I've seen. It is about a hundred times better than Cirque De Soleil! The tickets are on the pricey side, but it is worth every penny. The show had ballet dancers, acrobats, divers and motorcycle stunts! The show is in the City of Dreams. For more info click here!

Since the City of Dreams is right across The Venetian, we went back to where the festivities are happening. There were more shows and acts so we stuck around 'til around midnight.

Soo that's how I spent Christmas 2013 with my family. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas just like we did!
